One of Marvel’s best superheroes is always going to be your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Almost everyone knows about the story of a teenager called Peter Parker who is bitten by a radioactive spider that gives him superhuman strength and the ability to crawl up walls. However, Peter is also extremely intelligent and he gives himself the ability to shoot webs from his wrists by creating web shooters for himself.

Even though Spider-Man started off as a comic book series but over the years, the comics have been adapted into movies as well. These movies had famous stars play the role of Peter Parker such as Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. Here, we will rank all the Spider-Man movies so that you could watch them too and see how cool all of them are. You can stream most of the movies online or you could catch a movie on your Cable as well, only if you have a service as great as Spectrum Cable which has quite a library of channels to offer you.

Back to the best Spider-Man movies, make sure that you watch all the movies that we mention in this list so that you could join the Spider-Man bandwagon as well:

Spider-Man

The movie that started it all, is the one that stars Tobey Maguire who was the first Peter Parker and even today some people believe that he was the best one. The story starts off with the origin of Peter Parker and how he is a nerdy kid who is bitten by a radioactive spider and he starts developing powers that turn him into a superhero. However, in this movie and storyline, Peter doesn’t make his own web shooters and he organically creates his own web that comes out of his wrists.

The most iconic villain in all Spider-Man movies was introduced in this one, none other than Green Goblin who was played by Willem Dafoe. The character was so menacing that he has gone down in history as one of the best villains in a superhero movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man

This movie was a reboot after Tobey Maguire’s series. This one starred Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and in this one, Peter’s girlfriend wasn’t Mary Jane but Gwen Stacy. Andrew’s Peter had a much cooler take on the character and wasn’t as nerdy as Tobey Maguire’s character. This movie can also be seen as an origin story since it also shows how Peter goes to Oscorp and gets bit by a radioactive spider that gives him the powers to become Spider-Man.

The best part about this movie was that it was very much true to the comics in the sense that Peter creates his own web shooters and web cartridges rather than organically making them so that he could shoot them out of his wrists. In this movie, the villain was the Lizard who is a mad scientist who turns himself into a Lizard since he believes that Lizards are far superior to humans in terms of genetics.

Spider-Man Far From Home

This was the next reboot that featured Tom Holland as Peter Parker and this was the second part in his trilogy. In this movie, Peter travels to Europe on a class trip and he comes across Mysterio, who poses to be an entity from another universe he tries to help Peter out by fighting elemental villains. In the end, it turns out that Mysterio was the villain all along and towards the end he reveals to the world who Spider-Man actually is, setting the plot for No Way Home.

The movie is great in the sense that it finally sets the relationship between Peter and MJ and MJ finally figures out that Peter is Spider-Man. In the entire chaos that happens, Peter finds himself closer to his friends and the movie went on to show that Spider-Man isn’t only supposed to be Spider-Man in the United States but he is also Spider-Man in Europe and wherever else he goes.

Spider-Man 2

This is considered to be the best Spider-Man movie of all time. This one has Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and in this movie, Peter is going through an entire mid-life and existential crisis where he gets so affected that he starts losing access to his powers. His girlfriend Mary Jane also parts ways with him and decides to marry someone else. In the whole process, the scientist that Peter is working with turns into a maniac and turns into a villain as well, a man named Doc Ock. The best part is that nearly all the villains from all the Spider-Man movies make a return in Spider-Man No Way Home.

Wrapping Up

Spider-Man is definitely one of the best superheroes in the Marvel Universe and the movies have been brilliantly made, keeping in mind all the details about Spider-Man and what sort of a superhero he is. People are divided between who is the best Spider-Man and everyone has their own opinion of it.
